Spring has Sprung

It's a new month and time for another Challenge over at Paper FunDay. Our April challenge #40 is as always, Anything goes with an optional twist April Showers.

A HUGE thank you to our lovely sponsors this month!! Jan's Digi Stamps and Lee Holland Art!!!

The card I created and Im sharing with you today is using a lovely image from  Lee Holland Art, Panda on a Branch.

I used alcohol markers to give him color and because I knew Id be trying to incorporate bamboo in the card, I decided to give him a bamboo branch.

I also purchased a bamboo digital so I could create my frame and just repeated it until I was happy with my bamboo forrest.

I used a die to cut out the window and then some foam tape to stand the frame up off of the image.

I gave it a black frame to place it on the card base.

To complete this card, I gave it a sweet sentiment and some green iridescent stickers for added interest.

I hope you enjoyed stopping by and taking a look at my card today and I hope to see your entry over at this months Challenge at Paper FunDay!

Butterfly Wishes

Happy March all!! Its time for another Paper FunDay Challenge! Challenge #39 Anything goes with optional twist :Green and Gold.

A HUGE thank you to our awesome sponsors this month, Eureka Stamps and Newton's Nook. Don't forget to stop over and check out their beautiful, fun and creative stamps!!

The image I am using on the card Id like to share with you is Butterfly Background. I chose to make it my main image on my card.

I colored the image first with alcohol markers and then scanned it and printed it out on velum. I set the image on a piece of light pink card stock so the colors would pop!

I also printed a background of an image of a field of flowers to frame my image and the layered that onto the black card base. I used a Spellbinder's die as my sentiment, cut out of black card stock and glued to the front of my card.

I hope you enjoyed stoping by to see my card! I enjoyed creating this lovely springtime happy mail!!
I would love to see your entry over at Paper FunDay!

Fish Kisses

 Belated Happy New Year Friends!

I really missed sharing my cards with you this past month!

I am excited to share a card I have been working on for this months Paper Funday challenge.

A HUGE 'Thank YOU' to our awesome sponsors for February All Dressed Up and Polkadoodles!

Please stop over and check out their shops and beautiful artwork!

This months challenge #38 is of course ANYthing goes with the optional twist/ Hugs and Kisses

The image I chose to work with is called Mermaid Kisses from All Dressed Up.

For the base I used alcohol inks on Yupo paper to created a colorful underwater background. I printed my mer-girl on yardstick and colored her with alcohol markers and then fussy cut her out with detail scissors.

I also used Stampin Ups Sea Dies for the frame and kissing fishes. I used the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set Seas The Day.

I printed a second Mermaid on frosted velum. I glued the colored card stock mer-girl on the background and layered the velum copy on top and sandwiched those under the frame to create my card front.
I used some die cut aquatic plants to layer on top for added interest. and of course to finish this card I added Wink of Stella on her tail, fishes fins and bubbles!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my creation, I hope to see yours over at Paper FunDay Challenge!!

Holiday Time

 Happy December Friends!!!

This year flew by for me, I can not believe Christmas is upon us!!

Well that means a new challenge over at Paper FunDay Challenges!! Challenge #36

Anything goes of course with the optional Twist/Holiday Time

A huge Thank You!!! to our sponsors this month Polkadoodles andMy Besties!!

The image I am using this month is Lily Bug Love/Sending Love. I wanted to use this adorable image this month to be out of the obvious Christmas Card theme.

I colored the image using colored pencils and then heat embossed her wings and hat and cute little shoes.
I also heat embossed the dots for the background and the sentiment.

I used my Spellbinders die for her image and the used Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edges.

I used the same ink for the sentiment. I could not find a font that really went well with this card so I decided to break out of my comfort zone and free hand script. I used dots for ladybug( I thought it was perfect for the card!)

I had fun with this card and I really hope to see your entry over at https://paperfundaychallenges.blogspot.com!

Thanks for stoping in and viewing my card!!

Grateful-Season

 Happy November friends!

Its a new month and that means a brand new challenge over at Paper FunDay Challenge Blog.

This month challenge #35 is as always Anything Goes with an optional Twist: Give Thanks/Grateful.

A HUGE thank You to our sponsors this month, CAS_ual Fridays Stamps and Artsy Stamper.

This month I am using the gorgeous set from Artsy Stamper,  Seaside Holiday set.

I printed out and colored this seaside scene and added some grass using colored pencils. I used my Spellbinders die that reminds me of a treasure map for the frame. I went around the edges and gave it a more distressed look using my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

I went with this beautiful DSP from Stamping Up and a fish net die I had for the background. I just love this ribbon I purchased from my local Dollar Tree as well. I just thought the added color pop in the back was just what it needed. I also used a glue pen to outline and go over the sentiment and added some clear embossing powder on it to make it stand out.

To finish this very Florida Christmas Card, I added an image of the seashore with pilings to frame my inside sentiment as well. A small jute bow on the front to complete the card.
I hope to see your awesome entries over at Paper FunDay Challenge Blog.
Thank you for stoping by!

Trick-Or-Treat

Hello Friends, It's time for another challenge over at Paper FunDay.

October Challenge #34- As always its Anything goes with an Optional Twist/ Halloween and/or Use Purple in your project.

Our awesome sponsors this month are Fred She Said and Paper Nest Dolls.

The card I have to share with you guys today, I made using Fred She Said/Halloween Emma.

I thought it would be fun to make a shaker card using a new die cut frame I got.

I also used a piece of a die cut sleeve that was torn on the side for my shaker windows. I played it out and placed the die on and ran it through my Big Shot!

I planned out colors for the card base, frame, and a patterned background. I used the sentiment from the set and die cut and distressed that as well

Once I had all the elements planned and played out, it was time to make shaker magic!!!!

I chose some Halloween themed confetti using bats, Jack'o lanterns, and spiders. I added some foam strips to encase my blings and then placed the background patterned paper on top, flipped it around and gave it a shake to make sure my goodies stayed in!!!

Halloween has always been such a fun holiday for me, I can remember most every costume I have ever trick-or-treated in!!! And candy................................ still one of my favorite parts!!! I had a lot of fun creating this card and so glad you stopped in to check it out!

I hope to see all of you over at Paper FunDay Challenge!!

Hello Guys its time for another Challenge over at Paper Fun Day Challenges. As always our challenges are Anything goes with an optional twist for September the twist is Autumn/Fall.

Thank you so very much to our sponsors this month Jan's Digi Stamps and  The Colour of Love.

The image I used on my fall themed card this month was from Jan's collection Pumpkin Blessings.

To make this card I colored the image with alcohol markers, scanned and resized and printed out a few and then fussy cut them out. I decided to go with a slimline care and used some houndstooth Designer Series paper and a brown pattern to layer also to pull it all together I chose a gold and sparkly ribbon to tie around the layering and also the sentiment! I love how it all came together, and it really gets me in the mood for Fall comfort!!! I hope you all enjoyed taking a look at my card this month and I can't wait to see what all of you come up with don't forget to join us over at Paper FunDay!!
